It is mandatory in NSW to obtain a Bluecard Licence.  If you are currently employed within the Transport & Distribution Sector and drive in NSW you are required to obtain a Bluecard.

The Bluecard is aligned to the National Competency Standard:

 TDTF197B  Follow Occupational Health & Safety Procedures.

• Follow workplace procedures for hazard identification and risk control
• Contribute to arrangements for the management of occupational health and safety
• Complete occupational health and safety records

This Training Program provides the student with the knowledge and skills for the provision of essential First Aid in recognising and responding to an emergency using basic life support measures. The First Aider is not expected to deal with complex casualties or incidents, but to provide an initial response where First Aid is required. In this unit it is assumed the First Aider is working under supervision.

Provide Physical assistance with medication

This program delivers the skills and knowledge required by care or support workers to distribute and administer prescribed medications within a residential care facility under supervision. This function is undertaken in accordance with legislation and industry guidelines including:

• Aged Care Act and Regulations
• The Drugs and Poison's Act and other relevant legislation in the state/territory
• Disability Services Act.
• The organisation's procedures and guidelines written in accordance the relevant legislation and reflecting the scope of role and accountability for the level of worker in that jurisdiction.
